This is EA Sports Big contribution to the street soccer fanatics. And it is a very good one. It is the follow up from last years with a lot of improvements.
  GENERAL

This is EA Sports Big contribution to the street soccer fanatics. And it is a very good one. It is the follow up from last years with a lot of improvements. And it is available on a PS2, Xbox, DS, GC and PSP. So you don’t have any excuse to not play it. To play this game you have to think and act fast. It is a 3 versus 3 game and you play in different locations in the world.

  GAMEPLAY

It is a different way to play soccer. It is easy to play and it is for every age. You play 4 versus 4 at a small court. There seem to be no rules at all. And with that in mind I don’t mean that that you will see blood. To pass the ball, every inch of the court is to your disposal. And that is one of the elements that make this game very street like. You can pass the ball by wall for example. And that is the most important issue about this game. It’s not only soccer you are playing but how you play it. You get more points if you dribble and do tricks with the ball. When you reach your point limit you get this “matrix effect” and can shoot a more difficult shot, which is not easy for the keeper to save.

There are several modes in this game. If you want to play right away just choose “game on” mode. There you can play right away and pick some great teams. I would recommend making your own team and playing it up. There is a “rule the street” mode that I found more interesting. In this mode you make your own player as you wish. And that is one of the aspects in the game that is really impressive. You can choose your skin, nose, jaw, ears, head and body. That is more impressive then most RPG games. There are more details to the player in any other football game.

Rule the street: can make player as you like. Can choose facial, chin, nose, jaw, ears head. You name it! You can detail a player as much as you like I have seen in a game. Points to upgrade player with skills like speed, shot power, shot accuracy, tricks, tackling.
Earn rep points.

  GRAPHICS

The PS2 deliver great graphics and it completely different from the PSP. It is more light and easier to see the ball. It has more detail to it then on the PSP, but those two are not that comparable.

The major issue here is not the graphics. This is such a fast game that there is no time to enjoy the graphics. It is about how you do tricks and score. There is no time to study it. The graphics does not make this game look good, it is how you play it.

  SOUND

The soundtrack is amazing. Fifa Street is a member of the EA BIG series, and they always have great soundtracks. In this game they have lot of hip hop music. I recommend playing this game with a lot of noise. It is highly entertaining music and the sound effect when you play are great.

  INTERFACE / CONTROLS

I find the controls are not as precise as they should be. Sometimes they seem to lag, and that can be very frustrating. You can only steer with the analog stick. You can pass the ball across the ground or air. Also when you tackle a player it seems that the game needs you to be very accurate. That can sometimes be very annoying, when you stand where you should be. It might be that the lag time has something to do with this.

The loading time in the game is not as slow as on the PSP.

  SUMMARY

I am not a huge soccer playing guy, but I really enjoyed playing this game. It is fun and fast and it is easy to play multiplayer. The ability to make your own player almost as you is a very cool aspect of the game and it makes the game more personal. You also get to hear a lot of great music while playing the game. There is one thing that I missed. I wish there where some more teams like Holland. They have some great players.
